Mental health in the workplace
Stress, depression and anxiety are estimated to be the cause of more working days lost than any other work-related illness (Health & Safety Executive statistics 2009/10). Sick pay reduces your profits, covering the absent workers adds more pressure and loss of valued and talented people costs you more than money.
Led and supported by employers, the North West Mindful Employer® Network seeks to address these issues through sharing best practice, offering mutual support and highlighting available resources.
North West Mindful Employer® Network
The network provides an informal, relaxed setting in which to meet colleagues from other employers to discuss issues of common concern. The agenda is set by the group and generally focuses on topics connected to supporting staff who experience mental health conditions.
The network is open to any employer in the North West, whether small, medium or large, private, public or voluntary sector.
